Biography

Adrienne Y. Semidey, DM, Bizzell’s Vice President of Learning and Engagement, is a leadership and organizational management practitioner with a Doctorate of Management . Dr. Semidey has worked in every level of an organization from a COO’s secretary at the beginning of her career to most recently as a Senior Vice President of a Strategic Communications and Marketing Division in a $750M company, co-managing a $40M+ division, with responsibility for $29M in revenue and 200+ public health and communications professionals.

Dr. Semidey has spent her career in the government contracting business at Macro International, ICF International and Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE). As an independent management consultant, she has provided consultation services to companies with annual revenues ranging from $100K to $40M. She is most proud of growing a health communications contract from a $467K to $21M and maintaining that client for 16 years. Dr. Semidey is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus in the School of Business Administration and Management Studies. In addition, she has served on the Board of a number of community agencies and private schools.

Dr. Semidey’s areas of expertise include business development; communications management and research; change management; organizational development; leadership and organizational behavior; performance management; succession planning; mediation; conflict resolution; capacity building; stakeholder engagement; cultural competency; health disparities; diversity management and qualitative research. She has managed relationships with corporate & governmental strategic partners, led a diverse set of business operations, co-managed the health communications division and positioned her teams for sustained growth.
